Nuken

Overall 5.5/5 Best bang for buck, holy shit! Ya damn broke the /5 scale.

Mind blown. I can’t tell you how this looks, I have to show you. It’s strong as hell with a dreamy cerebral, gives a very strong visual glow/indica-lock but it’s with focus and not quite a couch-lock. Giggle strain. A little distortiony or hazy but not dizzying.

Before I even tried the sample I bought an oz, I’m an idiot, I forgot I had a sample.

A little confusing with its genetics, Nukens’ parents are Kish+God Bud. Kish is made from crossing two Shishkaberry parents so it’s like the inbred version of Shishkaberry. Shishkaberry is made from crossing Blueberry with an unknown Afghani so that’s why it’s insanely good. So they’ve taken their inbred Shishkaberry and crossed it with God Bud to create Nuken. JEEEERRRRRYY!! JEEEERRRRRYY!!
Shishkaberry is my third or fourth favourite strain and I’m expecting this 80% indica to send me into the atmosphere only to come crashing down (Kish and Shish are also 80% indica). Shishkaberry is a roller coaster, I loooove it. I totally forget what Nuken does so let’s dive in. Lets get nuked :D. That doesn’t sound good.

I got a noice gram sample. I’d usually wake n bake for a review but I’m switching to this from smoking 1g of Pineapple Express and it’s 3PM. I waited about 2 hours between but I don’t think I’ll go into great detail here as the P.E. is actually still in the background, it lasts awhile as a 60% sativa. After smoking Nuken it has completely taken over! It’s like I was transported to a purple cat in the hat house. I know that sounds crazy. It’s a mix between a narcotic effect, a space out, here’s what Cannasos says “very contemplative and spacey one that lasts a while but isn’t too heavy or narcotic”. So you see: heavy and narcotic! “Too much” would be opinionated but I do feel it’s a notch below Shishkaberry in outright potency but that’d come down to the actual effect profile.

The smell hit me as soon as I opened the bag so larger amounts I would expect a good pungency. I’ve had this a few times before but without peeking Leafly I can smell earth, pine, wood, skunk and grass. After checking Leafly – earthy, woody, pungent. From Cannasos “Nuken’s furry nugs contain an aroma that is grassy combined with sweet marshmallow”, yep, that’s it! Grassy marshmellows, why couldn’t I think of that? And it’s furry.
Leafly’s effects table shows relaxed-euphoric-uplifted-happy-tingly with relaxed standing out.

Very nice grassy exhale. Smooth hit. Effects took 30 seconds. Minutes later the effects got stronger and stronger until 7 minutes pass. Overall I feel better mentally/self esteem wise, there’s a definite mood boost/mood changer/uplifter. This is a giggle strain, I can just feel it. You can’t beat relaxed-euphoric, it gives a narcotic effect when there’s “euphoric” in abundance with something noteably strong. It feels like you’re a little spaced out in an “upwards” direction?, just enough to get out of yourself to be able to giggle at things. This is like a… hilarious strain. It’s hard to not just smile. I feel a sense of timelessness or as if my brain isn’t bothered to be elsewhere but where it is and it’s comforted by… itself. I don’t have extra-thoughts but everything around me, my environment has become happier too, brighter and more colorful.

It’s like having a tiny hoot of laughing gas or something. I find myself smirking at anything mildly funny and the sedation/narcotic/dreamy high has me wanting to take the crown off Shishkaberries’ noggin to place it on Nukens’.

Comparing to Shishkaberry this feels more linear instead of going way up and then way down, I feel like I’ve ascended to an altitude of 4,200 feet and am maintaining heading.
