If were any smellier it’d be outright pungent [I have a cold mind you] and wicked profile of pure diesel X strawberry-ness [F being sick], potent, cured properly, dense, smokes and ashes well, evenly balanced and potent, enjoy both indica and sativa with this one, in equal amount with somewhat sativa-leaning effects. Long-lasting clear-headed cerebral with nice body. Offers a classic, enticing and visual glow with a slowed-down-ness. I recommend this medicinally for melting stress, PTSD, depression, socially, night time, wake n bake, video games, doing chores, anything and in that order too. Not much of a burn out, just have a coffee and you should be good.
Have you had DJ Shorts’ blueberry {aka..blueberry} ? Good stuff, yeah? This is like blueberries’ freaking slightly smaller, wimpier cousin…strawberry :-D. Both are just purely potent and reek of berry but this one’s obviously on the sativa side (hence wimpier lol). Strawberry Diesel isn’t so far off from being a land-race strain either: one of its parents [NYC Diesel] is an offspring of Mexican and IIRC Afghani land-race strains.
Here’s the deal comparatively…
Vets and beginners will absolutely love this stuff if you like the sales description shown it’s exactly what you’ll get – potent stuff – if you’re a fan of Blue Dream, Bruce Banner, AK-47, GSC, Gelato, Sweet Tooth, Wedding Cake IIRC, GG4, Death Bubba, Grape God (also sold here and would buy again), anything that has an already great reputation for being an evenly balanced monster where you enjoy both indica and sativa sides about as much as a more-indica or sativa leaning strain – versatility but with potency. A “knockout” strain (specific to its effects – look at the effect chart on Leafly.ca and compare it to the strains I’ve stated, they’re extremely similar [happy-relaxed-euphoric in that order] and a good buy at $150+$15 but then again that’s somewhat close to dispensary pricing – similarly would cost $200oz IMO (Ontario).
A more in-depth look at the effects…
This is a 1-bowl and then you’re stoned and happy strain, stress fucking melts but you’re clear headed, however it loses 1 “point” in outright potency to most 70/30 indica-leaning couch-locky strains as it should in body-high [and yet the body is still present!]. This is an amazing buy. I was a little worried it wouldn’t be potent but it sure as shit is [1 bowl did it, 2 bowls I’m like 1.3-1.4X as high and from then on reduce by maybe +.7X “as high” per bowl until 4 bowls – it does keep getting a bit stronger as you pack the bowls – I’d go as far to say this is medicinal quality IE “strongest of the strong” but with mellower non-scary effects that melt stress]. I’ve been smoking daily heavily for 10+ years so I am the one to be the judge on potency, having 100+ strains in different forms. When I have a very sativa-dominant and know it’s missing an indica side I want it back even though I can’t even describe it past “slowed-down-ness” so I can’t even put my finger on it. Online this is stated as being a 50:50 hybrid yet it’s called a sativa because it strikes a nice even balance between them but it comes down to the outright effect of “yeah, it’s kind of sativa-leaning” but the person isn’t really even sure themselves – enough cerebral to keep your mind occupied with bullshit and enough body to get the munchies and chill. Not potent “between the eyes” ENOUGH to make you tired if you’re a long time user but still has night-time effects (that I prefer in the day time). I find that with PTSD you end up wanting to feel a little high all the time, a little glowey, a forced happiness but by natural chemical and without being so introspective on the state of your mind and emotions – ignorance is bliss sometimes. It’s amazing that you can smoke this and just sit and feel a little happier without doing or thinking anything.
I bought this because I wanted AK-47 again lol. The charts on Leafly I found that had similar effects were strains like Bruce Banner and Blue Dream. Those strains have “happy” followed by “relaxing” as the 2 (of 5) top effects…but Strawberry Diesel was even closer to AK-47 and these Leafly charts don’t lie, they’re so accurate, I love it. Gotta love that diesel, it’s the base floral of this strain and mixed with a strawberry..it’s like they should make a men’s cologne out of this minus any actual skunky weedy smells.

I’m Karter so I’ve already reviewed this but I re-ordered and need to say again…
This stuff has been here awhile. I hope to see it sold out just because of the strong scent alone, it’s dispensary quality where you usually want to smell it first (this knocks your nose out of the park) while the high itself is moderate, best used for upliftment/happy inducement/mood changer/working/being active/beginners & moderate users/wake n bake. It’s a straight up 50:50. I’m high from 1 bowl no doubt but it doesn’t feel super in-my-face, it just made the light around me brighter and I feel clear headed and happier through a subtle mix of relaxation and inner euphoria. It’s moderate but present: I feel like I’m “not allowed” to get high but I smoked this and I’m being sneaky IE if you have a board meeting and want it to be less boring but don’t want paranoia… this is something I’d bring to a party in thinking that people will also be drinking and I don’t want people to get too sloshed, nor do I want paranoia walking around freely. “Moderate” has a right time & place.
1) The smell is intense. It’s my favourite diesel/chem smell and the strongest of that profile I’ve ever had. My girlfriend said “holy shit, it’s like walking into an auto-body shop.” It has a purely solid scent of citrusy cleanliness like lemons with a hint of mint to round it off. You get the same strength from a tiny bud than you do smelling the oz. That means resin city.
2) It’s my second favourite smell from WD. I’m not even sure what my first is though, probably Shishkaberry. Aside from Blue Dream this is the most unique scented even though there’s lots of profiles like this, just unique to their list for now. If someone asked for a strain based on smell I’d have to recommend this.
3) I think it’s slightly “wrongly” rated AAA++ and that it deserves a third “+” because they took into account how much the diesel can make you cough; it’s also made from a cross of NYC diesel X Strawberry Cough. This does not smoke, smell or look like anything lesser grade. I can tell the difference between a leafy-seedy-cough and a this-is-just-the-bud cough. In this case it’s just the bud. The high itself is between moderate and heavy-enough. It doesn’t give you 1/1000th shutter speed, it just makes you very uplifted, relaxed, calm and happy. This is something I’d give to my mom to enjoy while she’s gardening if not CBD Dream (which has an uplifting buzz but not a full on high). It loses a “+” to feeling less in-your-face than other strains which I won’t equate to “less potency”.
4) If you go to Leafly and search under “anxiety crushing” strains you’ll find this at the bottom of the list because it’s rather new. I was originally looking for a “happy” strain like AK47 and I’ve found it:

Correction: I barely even smoked half a bowl, I had just grazed the top. Taste is e-x-c-e-l-l-e-n-t no matter the size of how much is smoked (which makes it an easy blunt contender). It does have a hard/dense but *very quick* cough, rest assured it’s that diesel. I finished the bowl and the effects got muuuch stronger and because of that I would no longer be using the word “moderate” as much as “a casual rippage that doesn’t get fucky.” You’ll see in 99% of my reviews that I won’t comment much on taste because I don’t taste things past being “weedy” but this has such a distinct diesel flavoring that even the largest creamiest bong hit will taste like “strawberries” and “diesel”, it does not flatten or falter. If I had a dispensary I would’ve copped this a long time ago to sell it for $10/gram and just told people it’ll make them cough because it’s made with Strawberry Cough and freakin’ NYC Diesel. It has the most orange hairs I’ve ever seen on a bud, more than AK. Compared to AK the greens are darker and small trichomes outside but medium and caked inside. I’ve had two bowls now and I’m just a notch below fucking flying – the effects profile itself keeping me grounded. I love this strain and you probably will too. They say taste is 75%? It should be at like 101%, sorry but go roll one up and come back.

I bought 2 Oz. during the flash sale and am wishing I got more. I was impressed by the quality of the buds I got in both packs—large, dense, beautiful smelling. The buds break up well and large. I couldn’t fit my regular amount (0.75 g) in a standard joint. It rolls well due to a nice cure—not to dry or moist. The smell and taste are my style, not too aggressive but well noticeable. Sorry for the lack of description of the smell and taste; I’ll leave that to others. The ash was nearly white and I didn’t cough too badly. The high was very cerebral for me with little body vibes. It also did not “burn” me out but left me rather relaxed after the initial high calmed down. The high is not as potent as some strains but for what this product delivers, I would buy it again for sure.
